Career Technical Education – Partner With Us
Career Technical Education (CTE) is a program of study that involves a multi-year sequence of courses that integrates core academic knowledge with technical and occupational knowledge to provide students with a pathway to post secondary education and careers. Typical CTE programs are California Partnership Academies (CPA) and Regional Occupational Programs (ROP).
The state of California has identified 15 Industry Sectors. Each sector contains multiple career pathways in which to develop Programs of Study. In collaboration with Sacramento region’s colleges and business San Juan Unified School District has determined the sectors and careers can best serve the students, industry and the Sacramento community.
Career and Technical Education programs are designed to integrate core academic knowledge with technical and occupational knowledge to provide students with a pathway to post secondary education and careers.
