The Sacramento State String Project is the flagship program of this kind in the West and a member of the National String Project Consortium. The project provides carefully structured group lessons in violin and cello for children in the fourth grade and up. The lessons are taught by the dedicated and talented Sacramento State School of Music undergraduate and graduate teachers and supervised by experienced teachers.
SECC’s mission is to provide quality educational resources to learners of all ages in the greater Sacramento community primarily through video and other information and communication technologies via cable systems and networks.
