In the fall of 1999, Heather and Dan met for the first time at Del Campo High School. The two became friends right away. When the homecoming dance rolled around, Dan asked Heather to be his date.
However, Heather’s parents were not happy their daughter was dating an “older guy.” Dan was a senior heading to the US Air Force while Heather was only a sophomore. Her parents soon realized that Dan was a keeper.
The two highschool sweethearts fell in love and stayed in touch through love letters while Dan was serving our country. They’ve been married now for ten years and have three sons.
