The Los Rios Community College District announced new state funding as well as philanthropic gifts from Sutter Health, Safe Credit Union, Wells Fargo, and VSP Global to the Los Rios Promise program, which removes financial barriers for students to be successful. New state funds will expand access to free tuition to two years for first time, full time students. The philanthropic gifts total approximately three-quarters of a million dollars, and will help to support students needs beyond the cost of tuition such as books or other fees.
