Defining 2020: The film acknowledges and builds upon the isolating circumstances of the 2020 coronavirus pandemic, specifically in the way that quarantining and mandatory shutdowns have radically influenced the social development of American students. The film also elaborates on new ways young Americans have begun to overcome these challenges, and how 2020 has transformed into a season of waiting for eager students to once again be amongst their peers.
Educational Message: “The film aims to demonstrate artistry and creation as a solution to feelings of discontentment and isolation, that have grown all too common in America‚Äôs educational communities. It is meant to educate those who are unaware of the unrelenting circumstances that American students face day to day, and to provide comfort in the idea that creative expression and ingenuity can further the lives of these students. Young men and women, who need only to use their imagination to better themselves and the world around them.”
