Program Idea: I have been a Sac Republic fan for about 5 years. I have been following this fight for MLS for about 4 years and when they got the team, I was ecstatic! When we got this project, we were told to pick a topic we were passionate about. I am passionate about the Sac Republic! I reached out to try to interview the mayor and president and C.O.O. of sac republic and got the interviews. There was over 32 minutes of interview footage that I surprisingly limited down to just under 7 minutes. My favorite part of this was getting the footage of the diversity and inclusion in Sacramento and how the city has evolved.
Message: This video captures the Sac Republics fight to become an MLS team since 2012. I hope that community members understand the perseverance, heart, and team effort that went into this task
