Program Title: Food Insecurity

Target Audience: Adolescents and adults who live in the Sacramento community and have the potential to volunteer and serve others.
Program Idea: While I was helping out with the Children’s Receiving Home, I became aware of the food insecurity crisis. I was amazed to learn that such a problem exists in the world’s most rich and developed country. So I set out to learn how food insecurity impacts students in school. I also wanted to know what organizations were in place to help this situation. Lastly, I learned how we, as individuals, can make a difference to help solve this serious problem.
Message: I wanted to educate the public on the food insecurity crisis. Hopefully, this video can bring attention to this important issue. Any bit of insight that can be gained may have a positive effect. The video might even compel people to volunteer, donate, and have food drives.
