Our mission at Sacramento City Unified is to prepare every student at every school for success in college and beyond. That’s why our schools take a “whole child” approach to education. We pair rigorous academics and innovative programs designed to ignite a child’s passion for learning with an education in the life skills needed to master challenging concepts.

In our high schools, we offer students 19 Linked Learning pathways, specialized academies where students get hands-on experience in such employment sectors as culinary, engineering, nursing, law, construction and more. In our middle schools, students can sample their interests with such engaging electives as Digital Media, Broadcasting, Speech and Debate, Photography, Beginning Band and Student Government. And our elementary schools prepare students for a lifetime of learning with well-rounded instruction designed to inspire critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork skills and social responsibility.
