Sacramento City Unified embraces using data to identify and reduce academic and discipline challenges within our system. The California School Dashboard provides a helpful first step by shining a light on what’s working well and where improvement is needed. Using a number of different measures, the Dashboard informs parents and community members about how the district is doing, as well as each school. Understanding the Dashboard can help parents participate more actively in the district’s planning process for the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). On January 29, two workshops were offered at the Serna Center to give parents a hands-on tour of the new Dashboard.
SECC’s mission is to provide quality educational resources to learners of all ages in the greater Sacramento community primarily through video and other information and communication technologies via cable systems and networks. SECC is a collaborative effort of the K-20 education community all working together toward this mission.
